Jesselton is an old name of Kota kinabalu. After I finished studying English in the united state of America, I really wanted to see other cultures and traveling other countries. Why is that? I think I really realize that there are many different people live in the world and it is very interesting to learn and see other cultures. That is why I decided to save some money for summer vacation every month from my salary after I got a job in Korea. The job does not offer me a good salary, but I can have some of free time for developing and enjoying myself. That is good thing about my company. Anyway, when I realized weather is getting hot, I was so excited that summer vacation is coming soon. However, air fare was rising every day because gas price was so expensive. I had to make decision to go abroad or stay in my room. While I could not name decision, JJ told me that let’s go to Kota Kinabalu. “What? Where is that?”
Kota kinabalu located a foot of Mt. kinabalu in N. Borneo Island. In the later half of 18 centuries, N. Borneo was colonized by British, so British took a wood and rubber in a new-built harbor from 1899. Enough size of Hinterland is advantage its development. In the World War 2, Australian troops and Japanese troops were fighting in the N. Borneo, so N. Borneo was ruined. After war finished, N. Borneo were re-built.
I finally decided to go to Kota kinabalu. When I arrived at the airport of K.K, it was 4 pm in local time in Malaysia. At the first, I took a bus to go hotel named ______. The hotel was not bad, but the destination of the hotel was not in Main Street of K.K. however, it was one of the best trips in my life. Actually, I liked the interior of the room. I went to sleep.
In the next day, I decided to go to the water front of the Main Street for looking for a travel agent for asking price of activities.
I could do many things such as snorkeling, swimming, getting massage, shopping and taking rest.
Everything I did was so great that I will never forget about this beautiful trip in my whole life.
