Business trip to Indonesia (4th Story)

Finally, we have installed the carrier antenna and monitor antenna!

 

After FFM antenna will be installed tomorrow, we can calibration DVOR and move to Jakarta on Friday.

Business trip to Indonesia (3rd Story)

We finished install ASU(Auto Switching Unit) on the wall and connect all 48 cable.
After that we stand our DVOR/DME and insert all the modules.

Now we need to have FFM antenna install and carrier antenna with Monitor Antenna install.

After finishing the work, we had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel. It doesn't have many choices, but we were too tired to go out for dinner, so we just had simple Sandwich and one bottle of beer.

Next day, we started to connect cable from ASU to our equipment and also power cable.

For the lunch, we went to a restaurant named 88.

We choose one of fish to cook. They served grilled fish with tomato and chilly sauce on the top.


It was delicious!

Business trip to Indonesia (2nd Story)

Site preparation was terrible...

 

Side band and carrier antenna were not installed and there was no wire mesh on the counter poise. Surely, tray for cabling wasn't prepared.

 

We cannot finish installation as I planned for sure.

We worked thursday till saturday to install all the antenna and cabling into shelter.

On the sunday, we went to Natsepa beach for site seeing because all the worker go to church and start work from 1 PM.

 

In the early morning, I asked to reception to call a cap for round trip to Natsepa beach. The clark said that it is 500000 Rp.

 

What?? I asked is there any other option to go the beach then they looked for a driver who van give discount.

 

Finally they negotiated as 300000 Rp.

 

We took a cap and arrived Natsepa beach 1. However, it wasn't the sea what I expected. I expected crystal clear water, but it wasn't...

 So, I asked the driver to take us to the Natsepa beach 2.

 

Yes! That was I looking for.

 

After work along the beach, we went to a restaurant to have 'RuJak'.

Business Trip to Indonesia ( 1st story)

Long journey started….

We need to finish installation for 7 sites before 1st week of December, but I am not sure or I don’t want to know why we are in hurry to take all this out within this year.

Anyway, here I am in Ambon, Indonesia. It is same time zone as Korea. However, there is no direct flight to Ambon, so I took 12 hour to come to Ambon.

I am tired…

In the morning, I arrived at the Pattimura airport in the Ambon city. My agent was waiting in front of the gate and we went to directly go to the site to check the site condition.

We stopped by Jumunjin for having a lunch.

5 different kinds of fish were served.

After lunch, we went to buy dried squid from the shop next the restaurant.

Travel to Sokcho with family

In the morning, I went to my mom's house to go to Sokcho.

It was a trip with family for a long time.

Firstly, we went to Dongmyung port to eat crap.

After the crap restaurant, we walked around breakwater for digest.

There was many sea food market that we pick a fresh fish to take it out, so we we bought a "Dodari and sea squirt as a raw fish.

Finally, we arrived at the cabin in the mountain and had a BBQ.

On the Job Training for DGCA

I came to Indonesia again for OJT.

 

I came with Mr. Choi and we were nervous, since it is first time to lead OJT.

 

First step into unknow world is scared, but excited at the same time.

 

When we arrived at the sokarna airport, we met Bagus(Agent in Indonesia) and went to dinner.

There were 5 participants for Training and they treated us very well.
